A suspect wanted in the stabbing of nearly 30 people in Canada died on Wednesday after being taken into police custody, according to authorities.
Myles Sanderson, who police suspect went on a stabbing spree in Saskatchewan with his brother Damien Sanderson that left 10 people dead, went into "medical distress" shortly after his arrest and died, according to Royal Canadian Mounted Police Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore. Damien Sanderson was found dead on Monday with wounds that authorities said were not believed to be self-inflicted.

"Shortly after his arrest he went into medical distress. Nearby EMS were called to attend the scene and he was transported to a hospital in Saskatoon," Blackmore said. "All life-saving measures that we are capable of were taken," she added.
Authorities did not reveal what they believe may have caused Myles Sanderson's death.
Sanderson was spotted with a knife outside of a home in the town of Wakaw at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday and then proceeded to steal white truck and flee the property, according to police. A Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer located the truck speeding along a nearby highway about 45 minutes later. Officers were able to stop the truck and take Sanderson, who was armed with a knife, into custody, according to police.

Both brothers, now dead, were wanted in connection with the Sunday massacre across an Indigenous reserve and a nearby town.
