Robert De Niro didn't even make it to the appetizers at Jennifer Lawrence's rehearsal meal!
Lawrence, who graces Vogue's October cover, participated in the publication's 73 Questions segment and did some dishing on her co-star and friend De Niro. The two have starred together in "Silver Linings Playbook, "American Hustle," and "Joy."
When asked about her favorite De Niro anecdote, the "Hunger Games" actress pointed back to her inviting De Niro to the rehearsal dinner for her wedding to Cooke Maroney.
"He's amazing on set. He's just the sweetest man in the world. Still very intimidating," she told the magazine. "I invited him to my rehearsal dinner for my wedding, obviously expecting him not to come. And when he came, I said, 'Bob, you really don't have to be here. You can go home.' And he was like, 'Thank you so much,' and left."
While spending time on the silver screen together, the pair also meet up weekly for drinks at the Greenwich Hotel in Manhattan, according to Lawrence's speech preceding De Niro's acceptance of GLAAD's Excellence in Media Award in 2016. "As one of the greatest actors who's ever lived, I can learn a lot from him," she said at the time.
In the 73 Questions video interview Lawrence also chats about former costars like Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. She also notes Meryl Streep as being one of the artist she most looks up to.
In February, Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney welcomed a son named Cy.
Later this year the actress will be starring in the drama film "Causeway."
