Ally McBeal was a super popular legal drama in the '90s that turned Calista Flockhart into a household name. The series ran for five seasons, from 1997 until 2002, and captured both the professional and personal life of a female lawyer named Ally McBeal. Along with Flockhart, the series also featured several other stars who would go on to create names for themselves in other projects, such as Lucy Liu and Jane Krakowski.

Peter MacNicol went on to have a series regular role on the short-lived series, CSI Cyber, which only lasted 13 episodes during the 2015 television season. He also went on to have recurring roles on the critically acclaimed series, Veep and the series All Rise. He also did a voiceover role for a recurring character in the animated series, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure.
Courtney Thorne-Smith went on to have a recurring role on Two and a Half Men as well as a starring role on According to Jim. In addition to these major roles, she has also had guest spots on several television shows over the years including Fresh Off the Boat, Mom, Robot Chicken, and Past Malice.
Calista Flockhart went on to film two movies after her days as Ally McBeal, called The Last Shot and Fragile. She then went on to star as Kitty Walker in over one hundred episodes of the ABC drama series, Brothers & Sisters. She has done a few television guest appearances since then and most recently had a recurring role on The CW's Supergirl.

Greg Germann went on to star in several seasons of Grey's Anatomy and had a recurring role in a few other series. He also played the role of Hades in ten episodes of ABC's fairytale drama, Once Upon A Time. He has also made appearances in many movies since his Ally McBeal days, including Bolt, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Here Comes the Boom, and Someone Marry Barry.

Lucy Liu has had a great career since her days on Ally McBeal. Shortly after her stint on the series, she starred in Chicago the movie as well as Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Liu also went on to star in the Kill Bill movies and made tons of appearances on various television shows such as Ugly Betty and Joey.

After her role as Nelle Porter on Ally McBeal came to an end, Portia de Rossi went on to star in the series Better Off Ted and played Lily Munster in the television movie Mockingbird Lane. She then went on to become a series regular in the final few seasons of the smash hit ABC series Scandal. Her latest role was on the Arrested Development revival. Portia de Rossi received multiple award nominations for her work on Arrested Development and earned a Golden Sattellite Award for her work on the series' revival.

Renee Elise Goldsberry has had quite the career since her early days on Ally McBeal. She went on to appear in 269 episodes of the daytime soap opera, One Life to Live, and played the final Mimi in Rent on Broadway. She had a role in the comedy film Sisters, starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, then had a recurring role on the hit CBS series, The Good Wife. She then went on to star in the smash hit musical Hamilton on Broadway and most recently has worked on the Peacock series Girls5Eva as well as Disney+'s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. It is also worth noting that Goldsberry has been nominated for a bunch of awards for her work in Hamilton as well as Girls5Eva and One Life to Live.
Jane Krakowski, along with Goldsberry, has had an impressive career after her role on Ally McBeal. It's safe to say the two of them have had the most successful careers since the show ended. Krakowski went on to star in the award-winning comedy series 30 Rock for seven seasons and was also a series regular on Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Most recently, she had a series regular role on AppleTV+'s Dickinson. Krakowski has received multiple award nominations both for her work on 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
