After some initial concerns amid the chaos of canceling and delaying currently going on at Warner Bros. Pictures, it looks like The Batman 2 is happening with both director Matt Reeves and star Robert Pattinson. With The Dark Knight all set to return, what might The Batman look like when he once again fights crime on the streets of Gotham City? Well, an artist known as @Jaxonderr has taken to Instagram to make some comic book-accurate changes to the cape and cowl.

""THE BATMAN II" What kind of costume changes would you like to see in the sequel?" the artist asks in a caption alongside the image, which demonstrates exactly what kind of batsuit they would like to see. Maintaining the same collar and sectioned-armor look as seen in The Batman, the edit makes some big changes to the costume. Many of them reflecting what the character often looks like in the pages of DC comics.

One of the most noticeable changes is the addition of white eyes, an iconic element that has never quite made the transition from page to screen (apart from briefly during the finale of The Dark Knight). Most likely because wearing a mask that covers most of the face is hindering for an actor, with the live-action designs allowing them to instead use just their eyes to convey emotion. Something that Robert Pattinson, in particular, excelled at in his first outing.

Alongside the change in the eyes, the new Batman suit adds some color to the gray and black, highlighting the Bat symbol in the center with a gold outline and even adding a slight blueish hue to the black cape and cowl - all changes that will be familiar to fans of the Caped Crusader.

To the delight of Batman fans everywhere, it has now been confirmed that Matt Reeves and Mattson Tomlin will reunite and begin work on writing The Batman 2 soon, with The Batman star Robert Pattinson set to return as Bruce Wayne aka Batman. A recent report has revealed that Reeves has already begun work on the project alongside The Batman co-writer Mattson Tomlin, who was uncredited as a writer on the first movie.

Director Matt Reeves has now established a long-term working relationship with Warner Bros. Pictures, signing a first look deal with the studio and being enabled to develop a shared universe around the world created in The Batman. "Someone like Matt, we'll buy for him whatever he wants to do," Warner Bros Pictures Group Co-Chair/CEO Michael De Luca said. "We're making an investment for whatever Matt feels a pull toward, in the Batman universe and otherwise. He has an open invitation to go wherever his interests take him. We'll lean into whatever Matt wants to do. In terms of the writer/directors out there working in this very elevated genre space, with everything Matt's done, from Let Me In to the Apes trilogy to The Batman, he's in a class by himself."

Released in March, The Batman introduces audiences to a version of the DC vigilante two years into his career as a crime fighter as Batman comes up against his greatest threat yet when a serial killer known as The Riddler begins targeting Gotham's elite. Starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell, The Batman was met with rave reviews upon release.

The Batman 2 does not yet have a release date.
