It seems like we are getting closer to the full announcement of The Division Heartland as the game has recently appeared on the Ubisoft Store with some unannounced details about the core game mode.

As spotted and shared by RebsGaming on Twitter, The Division Heartland's listing on Ubisoft Store reveals that the game will feature two different game modes at launch.

The core game mode is Storm Operations, where you will fight for survival in a 45-player PvEvP match. In this mode, you will need to survive a lethal virus while dealing with the troops of a hostile group called Vultures. You will also need to face the Rogue agents in this Dark Zone-style mode. It's yet to be seen whether Storm Operations will only feature a squad-based mode or you would be able to play it solo as well.

On the other hand, The Division Heartland also offers a PvE section called Excursion Operations, where you will team up with friendly players to complete some missions, collect gear, and prep the battlefield.

According to Ubisoft Store, The Division Heartland will feature six Agents at launch, divided into three different classes each one offering a unique set of skills and abilities.

As a free-to-play game, The Division Heartland is expected to feature heavy microtransaction options at launch, and according to the comments provided by multiple players who have been in the alpha testings, the game feels almost like the Dark Zone from previous The Division titles in a smaller scale.

Looking back at Ubisoft's efforts with the free-to-play titles, the company has not been successful enough with its recent launches. While Hyper Scape servers were shut down a few years after launch, Ubisoft canceled its upcoming Warzone-style Battle Royale Ghost Recon Frontline before seeing the light of the day.

Now, it remains unknown how The Division Heartland would perform after its full launch. It's worth noting that The Division 2 was already a failure for the company based on its financial performance.

Regarding the fact that a Ubisoft Forward showcase will go live on September 10, we might get our first official look at the game very soon during the event as well as a release date announcement.

Ubisoft has already confirmed Assassin's Creed Mirage as one of the games that will be showcased during the Ubisoft Forward event. There were also rumors about playtest sessions of Beyond Good And Evil 2 recently, which increases the possibility of a new showcase for the game in the upcoming event.
