A moped driver has been left with "potentially life-changing" injuries following a horror crash in east London.
Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a moped at the junction of Clapton Common and Braydon Road on Saturday evening.
A statement read: "At 8.07pm on Saturday, 3 September, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a moped on at the junction of Clapton Common and Braydon Road, E5. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service.
"The moped rider was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries to his hand."
There were no other vehicles involved.
The A107 Clapton Common was temporarily shut in both directions following the crash.
