Brec Bassinger, who portrays Courtney Whitmore on The CW's Stargirl, has expressed an interest in a Superman & Lois, one of the last fellow Arrowverse shows. While the Arrowverse has been one of The CW's flagship franchises since 2012, things took a drastic turn at the start of 2022 after it was confirmed that The CW's owners WarnerMedia and Paramount were looking to sell the network, thus changing the channel's approach to renewals. Despite being known for bringing back most of their shows year after year, such Arrowverse series as Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman got canceled, along with the short-lived DC drama Naomi.
While Stargirl season 3 is airing this fall, The CW only has two other Arrowverse shows left with The Flash and Superman & Lois, which got renewed for seasons 9 and 3, respectively. Both series, which will start production this month, won't premiere until sometime in 2023. In The Flash's case, the show is officially ending with season 9, while Stargirl has yet to learn if a season 4 pick-up is coming or not. Before The CW sale and the global pandemic happened, the Arrowverse was famous for its annual crossover events, which brought several shows together, such as 2019's Crisis on Infinite Earths.

With only a few shows left on the Arrowverse slate, and a pandemic that still plays a role in productions, there is still always hope from fans - and even the actors themselves - to see multiple shows coming together in some capacity. In a recent interview with Looper, Stargirl's Brec Bassinger was asked if she had a crossover in mind she would want to do with the DC TV shows that are still left on The CW. The 23-year-old actress revealed that tonally, she would see Superman & Lois as a good fit for a Stargirl crossover, sharing the following:
"Superman & Lois," tone-wise - I totally can see our shows mixing. Superman's one of the most iconic superheroes ever. It'd be really cool for Stargirl and Superman to work together.
The thing that Stargirl share in common with Superman & Lois is the fact they both take place on separate Earths in the Arrowverse Multiverse. Despite stating it was initially set on Earth-Prime, Superman & Lois season 2 ended with the plot twist that they exist in a different world while still being tied to the overall franchise. Crisis on Infinite Earths ended with the reveal that Stargirl takes place on a new version of Earth-2, which was a frequent location for The Flash before the 2019 crossover occurred. However, the other significant tie that Stargirl has to the Arrowverse is John Wesley Shipp's Jay Garrick from The Flash, as his version on Earth-Prime originated from the new Earth-2.
While Stargirl has yet to introduce a Multiverse arc, it wouldn't be the most difficult storyline to figure out in terms of how they would visit each other's worlds. The Superman & Lois season 2 finale may have hinted at there being other ways to travel between parallel universe, with General Lane saying he and the DEO have seen "glimpses of other worlds, and the leagues of superheroes they have on them." If Stargirl season 4 happens, that would be the time to try to work in any crossover event, as it's unclear exactly how much longer the show or even Superman & Lois will stay on the air due to Nexstar seemingly winding down on the Arrowverse as a whole. Until their respective futures are determined, fans can tune in for Stargirl season 3 every week while The CW determines when Superman & Lois season 3 will premiere in 2023.
