Viewers of Have I Got News For You praise the show for its 'savage' send-off for Boris Johnson as he prepares to leave office.
To mark the end of Mr Johnson's time as Prime Minister, the BBC aired Have I Got News for Boris: A Special Tribute, which highlighted some of his most memorable moments.
Among them were clips of Mr Johnson's previous appearances on HIGNFY as well as more recent appearances the former Prime Minister had made including training with forces in Ukraine, in which he was compared to 'someone's nan' by the panel.
Viewers enjoyed the special, tweeting: 'The Have I Got News For You roasting of Boris Johnson as his leaving present is thoroughly outstanding. Brutal. Savage. Hilarious.'
Others added: 'Have I Got News For You just gave Boris Johnson a fitting send off!' and 'Tonight's Have I Got News For You is phenomenal.'
Another commented: 'Whoever greenlit the absolute unironic ROAST of b/oris on have I got news for you is my new hero'.
While most were enjoying the programme, some considered it disrespectful, commenting: 'don't like the tone of Have I got news for you tonight mocking Boris severely misjudged programme idea'.
Another added: 'BBC surpass themselves tonight with Have I got news for you episode. disgraceful.'
Mr Johnson is set to be replaced by a new Prime Minister within days as voting in the Conservative leadership contest enters its final hours.
The nation will soon find out whether his successor will be Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss after Mr Johnson was forced out of his position following many resignations within his cabinet.
