A £900-a-month studio apartment in London where the oven is in arm's reach of the bed has sparked a 'frenzied' response with 18 hopeful tenants booked for a viewing.

The ground floor studio apartment in 'prime South Kensington location' Onslow Gardens is described as 'boasting a private kitchenette'.

Photos shared by estate agents Savills show the kitchenette in question doubles as a bedroom.

A double bed is nestled in the corner of the room, but it appears close enough to reach out and open the oven door.

The property, which is listed for £867-a-month, also requires tenants to share one bathroom with other studio flats on the ground floor of the converted three-story house.

A glass kitchen table and chair have been squeezed into the flat, along with a single clothes rail.

The flat is within close proximity to the South Kensington tube station and is available to single occupants only.

Potential tenants are required to rent the 133 sq ft property for a minimum of 12 months, and no pets are allowed.

A holding deposit of £200 is required to secure the apartment, followed by a deposit of five weeks rent, or £1,000.

Estate agents Savills said they've fielded huge interest in the two days since it was listed.

They received more than 60 enquiries overnight with 18 who went on to sign up for a 'block viewing' held on Thursday afternoon.

The agent went on to say the listing had inspired a 'frenzy' of enquiries from potential tenants, and that the arranged block booking at 2pm was likely to be 'quite chaotic'.
