Effective March 4, 2022, until rescinded: Order of the Health Officer of Mendocino County rescinding the wearing of face coverings in indoor public settings by all persons in response to the surge of COVID-19 and the spread of the Delta Variant. Strong recommendation to continue indoor masking at this time. However, indoor masking still mandated in certain settings such as schools, healthcare settings, and public transportation. COVID PCR Testing in the Tent

The Mendocino Coast Clinic is doing free, drive-through COVID testing under the tent Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The location is 205 South Street, Fort Bragg, CA. Phone # is 707-964-1251.

Mendocino Food Pantry

There is a weekly food pantry every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. held at the Mendocino Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Mendocino.

Paul Bunyan Days

Labor Day Weekend means it is time for Paul Bunyan Days in Fort Bragg. Paul Bunyan Days have been a Fort Bragg tradition since 1939. Always lumberjack rowdy and family-friendly, the festival is bigger and better than ever packed with 30 different free, or almost-free events it's the oldest and largest festival on the Mendocino Coast. Running Friday, September 2 to Monday, September 5 in Fort Bragg.

First Friday Concert

First Friday, September 2, will be an evening of music and open mic at Piacis Pizza in Fort Bragg starting at 5 and going until sunset. An open mic will be hosted by Mike Coleman with music from Tom Freund and Wally Ingram along with Steve Bates.

Free Services for Needy Dogs

FREE Vectra 3D flea/tick treatment for dogs, free collars, leashes, and much more will be available at the Fort Bragg Food Bank, 910 N. Franklin St., Friday, September 2nd, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The next free shots clinic will be on Friday, October 7th. For more information, call Second Chance at 707-964-7770.

Held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Mendocino Coast Clinics at 205 South Street, Fort Bragg, CA.

Friday Free Clothing Pop-Up Swap

Every Friday (weather permitting) from 11-4 p.m., the Fort Bragg Food Bank crew of staff and volunteers will be out front at 910 North Franklin Street sorting clothing for the Friday Free Clothing Pop Up Swap, open to clients and community members to come to look through and take home - all for free.

Friday Skate Night

Friday nights from 7 to 9 is family skate night at the Old Rec Gym in Fort Bragg - 213 E Laurel St. The cost is $5 per day and participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign them in. Questions call 707 964-9446.

Youth Circus Recital

This summer kids ages 7 to 16 have been in the Youth Circus Workshop with Flynn Creek Circus, learning skills such as aerial arts, illusion, and acrobatics while maintaining comprehensive safety. On Labor Day, September 3 the kids will be showing what they learn at the circus recital at the Mendocino Coast Collage Campus at 11:30.

Fish Market

Join the Noyo Harbor District for Fish Markets in Noyo Harbor on the corner of South Harbor Drive and Basin Street. Local fisher-folks will be selling their catches from their boats and other local vendors will be shoreside selling their products. 10am-2pm.

Lens Tours at Point Cabrillo Lighthouse

Join volunteer docents at Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park for the unique opportunity to climb to the top of the lighthouse tower and stand next to the historic 1909 Fresnel Lens. There will be tours on the first Saturdays through October, after that it will be weather-dependent. Tours are first-come, first-serve, no reservations tours start at 10 am, and the last tour of the day goes up at 4 pm $10 per adult, $5 per child (under 18) Cost is All children must be over 42? tall to climb the stairs, no babies or animals allowed on this tour Guests must be able to climb three sets of steep ladders Tours last between 20 - 40 minutes. Kelley House Walking Tour

Fort Bragg Vaccine Clinic

On Mondays Mendocino County Public Health at 120 West Fir Street in Fort Bragg offers all vaccines, including 3rd doses for the immune-compromised, and boosters. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm for lunch. Sign up for an appointment at MyTurn.gov. A parent or a legal guardian must print and sign a consent for minors for the Pfizer vaccine. Check to confirm the clinic is open on a holiday. Go to mendocinocountypublichealth.org and click on Consent Form.

COVID Testing Fort Bragg

COVID testing is available in Fort Bragg outside the Veterans' Building on Tuesdays, from 9:00 am to 12:45 pm, and 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm. The location is 383 North Harrison Street.

Tuesday in the Tent

Every week it's Tuesdays in the Tent at the Mendocino Coast Clinics from 2 to 5 pm. All vaccines are available, including 3rd doses for the immune-compromised, and boosters. It's a drive-thru in the white tent on the north side of the clinic, no appointment is needed. Boosters are now available for children aged 12 and up, if it has been at least 6 months since their second dose if they received Moderna or Pfizer, or at least 2 months if they received Johnson & Johnson. Parental consent is required for anyone under 18 to receive a vaccine. Please follow all traffic signage and instructions for the vaccine clinic on Tuesday, and please do not come early.

The Wizard of Oz

The Mendocino Film Festival's Classic Film series presents the Wizard of Oz. Wednesday, September 7 at Coast Cinemas at 7 pm. This is the 1939 film starting the young Judy Garland and more. Tickets are $15, cash only at the door.

Train Club Breakfast

Mendocino Coast Model Railroad members meet at Laurel Deli in Fort Bragg at 7:45 am each Wednesday. Guests and/or potential new members are welcome.

COVID Testing Fort Bragg

The Mendocino Coast Clinic has free drive-up COVID Surveillance testing (for people with no symptoms) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on both Wednesday and Thursday. These are different tests and are processed differently. If you have symptoms, call the Clinic at 707-964-1251 to get assessed and see if you need to be tested. If you have been exposed, please wait for 3 or 4 days before asking to be tested. You will not get a true result if the test is done too early after exposure. The location is 205 South Street.

Albion Food Pantry

The food pantry will be open Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It is located in Albion behind the Albion Grocery and the U.S. Post Office.

Fort Bragg Farmers Market
