There was a lot going on for Naomi (Karene Peters) in tonight's Emmerdale, with her new job at the café acting as the catalyst for it all.
When Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) came face to face with Naomi at work, she realised that she had been involved with her attack in June. It was Naomi's trainers and voice that sparked her memory of that day and left her shaken.
After discussions with Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Jimmy (Nick Miles), Nicola eventually decided to tell the police about Naomi's involvement.
Charles was left reeling as Naomi was arrested, insisting that she was innocent. Ethan (Emile John) agreed, calling the accusations 'laughable'. Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker), however, appeared to doubt Naomi's innocence.
With no evidence, the police released her, and Charles was determined to let Nicola and Jimmy know, believing their accusations to be racially motivated.
However, Naomi put a stop to her father's actions by admitting that she was in fact present for the attack.
Furious Charles couldn't believe it and berated her for lying to him. Unable to understand why she would assault someone, he remained gobsmacked as she walked away.
Could this put further strain on their relationship and lead Charles to abandon his daughter for good?
