This year, most of the wonderful fall events we love are back! We hope you will attend and enjoy a few of them this year.

Check out these places to see fall colors in SoCal, or consider these Halloween Events in Los Angeles for 2022. Check out one of the amazing pumpkin patches in LA, or maybe you'd like to try apple picking near Los Angeles instead.

Even though you may not be able to tell when summer ends and fall begins in Los Angeles, it doesn't mean we don't have some of the best fall events around. LA parents can take their kids to pick apples, visit a pumpkin patch, find fall leaves, and celebrate under a harvest moon. There is no shortage of great things to do with kids in Los Angeles in the fall.

Pumpkin Festival at AGRIscapes

4102 S. University Dr., Pomona, CA 91768

The annual Pumpkin Festival is happening from Saturday, October 1st through Sunday, October 30th at Cal Poly Pomona. This popular festival features a corn maze, hay rides, live music, games, demonstrations, and more. The Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture grows 40,000 pumpkins for this special event. 84th Annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

The 84th Annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is happening on Saturday, September 17th from 5:00 pm to 11:59 pm. The festival "celebrates the full harvest moon and is a time to give thanks for a bountiful harvest." Come "celebrate with our Los Angeles family in Chinatown style!"

Families will enjoy live musical performances, traditional Chinese cultural demonstrations, the chance to view the moon through telescopes, Mooncake samples from Chinatown's bakeries, food, and more. Check the website for details.

Big Horse Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Mark your calendar for the Big Horse Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch which begins October 1st and continues through October 30th. Families will be in awe as they navigate the "largest corn maze in Southern California."

Specific activities may only be available on certain weekends, so check the website for a schedule of events. Generally, though, the fun each weekend includes a pumpkin patch and a corn maze.

Autumn Festival

The Aquarium of the Pacific will host its annual Autumn Festival on Saturday, November 12th, and Sunday, November 13th. The festival is a celebration of Asian culture and gives families the opportunity to learn about the "arts, cuisines, cultures, and marine environments of Asia." Enjoy arts and crafts, music and dance performances, special exhibitions, and more. The festival is included in general Aquarium admission. 

Oktoberfest at Big Bear Lake

Tickets to the 52nd Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest are now on sale. Organizers of Southern California's #1 Oktoberfest are ready to deliver another authentic Bavarian-style celebration for nine consecutive weekends from September 10 to November 5. Ticket options range from general admission, preferred seating options, Sunday Family-Fun Packages, and Über Bürgermeister Party Packs.

Other big news for Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest is that Frankenrebellen Express, a band directly from Bavaria, will perform for two weekends in October. The food served at Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest respects German traditions to the tee, including grilled bratwursts and knockwurst sausages, fresh-made colossal pretzels, home-style sauerkraut, German potato salad served warm, Bavarian-style potato dumplings, and apple strudel served with a warm vanilla sauce.

Alpine Village is "the home of the oldest Oktoberfest celebration in Southern California." The celebration runs from October 4th through October 27th. Skirball Harvest Festival: A Sukkot Celebration

The Skirball's annual Harvest Festival is a celebration of the fall harvest season as well as the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The daylong festival is happening on Sunday, October 13th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and features music and dance performances, interactive activities, and much more. Things That Go Bump In the Night

California Botanic Garden, known previously as the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, is hosting "Things Things That Go Bump In the Night" on Friday, October 11th and Saturday, October 12th from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm each evening. Families will have a chance to learn about "nature's nocturnal side." "Discover insects, reptiles, carnivorous plants, and many other amazing organisms!" Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as this event generally sells out quickly. Check the website for ticket details.
