Brookhaven medic charged with indecent assault on woman patient in ambulance
An emergency medical technician working on the Brookhaven Fire Company ambulance has been charged with lifting up the shirt and taking photographs of a patient while she was being transported in the ambulance. Police arrested Kevin H. Pressley, 24, Philadelphia, on Saturday after an investigation into the victim's claim that Pressley took photos of her with his cellphone while treating her on the way to the hospital.
Trial begins in case of West Chester Christian school teacher accused of sexually molesting young boy
The two sides in the trial of a former teacher at a religious school in Chester County who is accused of sexually molesting a 6-year-old boy who was a student at the school more than a decade ago offered contrasting views of the power of memory. On the one hand, the prosecution said the story told by the young man about what happened to him in first grade, so hard for him to divulge, would be enough to convict the man he accuses of molesting him as a first-grader at the West Chester Christian School: Randy Lee Boston.
Body recovered on Schuylkill River island was a male, Berks coroner's office says
The body found on a small island in the Schuylkill River near Douglassville last week was that of a still-unidentified male, based on a pathologist's preliminary report. An autopsy was done on the mummified remains Sunday in Reading Hospital, but further studies were ordered to glean some distinguishable characteristics, Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner Debra Detweiler said Monday.
Authorities investigating Lower Providence crash that killed pregnant Lansdale woman
A fatal two-vehicle crash in Lower Providence that claimed the life of a pregnant Lansdale woman is under investigation by Montgomery County and Lower Providence authorities. County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Lower Providence Police Chief Michael Jackson on Monday announced a joint investigation of the Thursday, Aug. 25, fatal crash along South Park Avenue in the township that killed 31-year-old Kellie Adams, of Lansdale, and her baby girl, Emersyn Grace Adams, who was stillborn following the crash.
Pottstown man shot and killed near Ricketts Center
A 25-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night just steps away from the popular Ricketts Community Center. A second victim was shot in the hand, according to authorities.

Carroll's double in debut caps comeback, D-backs beat Phils
Corbin Carroll's ability to hit helped the Arizona Diamondbacks win in his big league debut on Monday night. The top prospect's ability to run helped him dodge a would-be postgame shower. Carroll had a go-ahead, two-run double to break a fifth-inning tie and the Diamondbacks climbed out of an early seven-run hole to batter the Phillies 13-7 for the biggest comeback win in franchise history.
Ahead of cuts deadline, time for Eagles to move on from Andre Dillard, Jalen Reagor
For the Eagles, the trickle of unannounced cuts to reduce the roster to 53 players by late Tuesday afternoon produced little drama on Monday. Safety Jaquiski Tartt at least has a name and starting experience, having played seven seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles just aren't looking for marginal 30-year-old defensive backs who were taken off the board in the second round of the 2015 draft. JT's ship has sailed.
