A 22-year-old man was shot, reportedly while at a party, in South West London in the early hours of this morning. Police rushed to St Rule Street in Wandsworth at 4.25am today (August 29) to reports of the shooting. Officers, including firearms officers, attended the along with London Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the Met told MyLondon that on arrival, no victim could be found, but officers were told he had been taken to hospital in a private vehicle.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A 22-year-old man remains in hospital suffering gunshot wounds and we await an update on his condition. A crime scene remains in place at the location. Enquiries continue."

A large cordon remains in St Rule Street this morning, just off Wandsworth Road, and officers can be seen going into a large white building behind a metal gate. Officers have also been seen on hands and knees scouring the area for evidence.
Residents speaking the MyLondon reported hearing bangs in the area in the early hours of the morning. There is also smashed glass in the road near to where the incident happened, but it is unknown if that is connected. Police have also set up a number of cones around the cordon this afternoon.
