I can't believe that the Citi Premier 80K bonus is still active! Usually, when we see a limited-time signup bonus, it lasts for a few weeks to a month. This one has been around an amazing 10 weeks! That is just crazy! We've had a lot of people ask us how much longer it will be this high but we are shocked at its longevity already! Wouldn't it be awesome if this was the new normal for this card?
We've heard of people with great credit getting a denial for it - don't fret, my husband did too the last time it was offered. His denial, too, made NO sense. He had the same number of cards as me and an almost identical credit score, and he was denied and I was approved. Then this last signup increase, he was approved. Go figure!? I have heard anecdotal accounts that they like people who don't have as good of credit scores, hoping to make interest money on them but that doesn't explain why I was approved. I chalk it up to a quirky approval system so if you didn't get approved this time, apply later.
