TWIN CITIES, MN - The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the Twin Cities metro area and most of central Minnesota Sunday night. Dakota, Ramsey, Hennepin, and Washington County are included in the watch.
The watch will be in effect until 12 a.m. Monday.
"Large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall look to be the primary threats, though a tornado or two can`t be ruled out," the National Weather Service said.
Saturday night's storms
The NWS said that EF0 tornado damage was found in southern Ramsey County on Saturday night. Additionally, short-lived EF0 tornadoes occurred in Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, and West St. Paul, weather officials said.
Wind speeds reached 85 MPH, and the majority of the damage was to trees or caused by trees falling onto homes or other structures, according to the NWS.
