Leave it to Emily Ratajkowski to up the ante in a little black dress.

On Thursday, the model stepped out in New York City while wearing a sultry take on the classic wardrobe staple. Her black long-sleeved minidress featured tiers of tie-up cutouts that started at her collarbone and extended nearly all the way down to her belly button.

She put a western spin on the ensemble, styling the piece with a pair of suede over-the-knee cowboy boots in dark brown. To accessorize, she wore black frame sunglasses, a mini black shoulder bag, and silver hoop earrings.

Ratajkowski has been embracing Western footwear as an unconventional transitional piece as we move from summer to fall.

Earlier this week, for instance, the My Body author was seen taking a walk in New York City wearing a sleek black iteration of cowboy boots from Mango, which she unexpectedly styled with a creamy bustier and a slinky blush midi skirt from Lilysilk.

And earlier this month, EmRata took her one-year-old son, Sylvester Apollo Bear, to a farm, where she aptly embraced the cowboy aesthetic. There, she shared photos of herself on Instagram posing on a tractor while wearing a lavender tank top, faded slouchy jeans, and black cowboy boots.

EmRata previously talked about her minimalist style in an interview with Pop Sugar.

"I love wearing sneakers with a dress, especially as it's getting warmer in New York," she said. "It's the most comfortable-but-still-chic look that you can do. Other accessories, like what you do bag-wise and jewelry-wise, can dress it down. A larger bag makes it more casual, but if you do something tiny and kind of sexy, it can be great for night."
