Spoilers for Spider-Man #1 by Marvel Comics
A new trailer for Spider-Man #1 reveals the web-slinger's scariest villain, as the hero will face off against Morlun and his deadly ally, Shathra, in the upcoming series. In the new comic from Dan Slott and Mark Bagley, spinning out of the events of Edge of the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man will take on what Marvel is describing as the "scariest Spider-Villain of all time" as Morlun teams up with Shathra.
Spider-Man is no stranger to having some of the scariest villains in the Marvel Universe as his usual foes. From the Green Goblin, the symbiote Venom, to the Kingpin, Peter Parker has routinely taken on some incredibly powerful opponents. However, following the conclusion of the Edge of Spider-Verse event and what's being called the "End of the Spider-Verse," Spider-Man will be dealing with the immortal psychic vampire, Morlun, whose quest to kill all the versions of Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse makes him his scariest villain to date. Morlun will be joined by Shathra, aka the Spider-Wasp, another deadly foe who wants to feed on Spider-Man.

Marvel Comics released a new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man #1 by Dan Slott and Mark Bagley that will spin out of the events of the Edge of Spider-Verse arc. In the trailer, Morlun makes his surprise return, as his history of beating Spider-Man to within an inch of his life is recalled. Spider-Man fights against his scariest opponent ever and takes on a series of deadly blows. Things get even more complicated when Shathra, the Spider-Wasp, arrives and bombards Spider-Man with a series of wasps. The two villains, who have both beaten Spider-Man before, will try to finish the job and kill the hero. Check out the trailer below.
Thankfully, Spider-Man will not be fighting alone against Morlun and Shathra, as when the hero seems to be on the ropes, his fellow spider-heroes Silk and Miles Morales' Spider-Man will join the battle. Additionally, Spider-Man: Noir and more heroes from across the Spider-Verse will assist Peter Parker. Will Spider-Man and his friends be enough to stop the scariest Marvel villain they will ever face? It's unclear, as it's quite a challenge for the web-slingers.
The trailer reveals the End of the Spider-Verse might be coming if Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Silk, and the other heroes from across the Spider-Verse fail to stop the scariest villain Morlun and his partner Shathra. Of course, that will be easier said than done, as both villains have already proven in previous Marvel stories that they are among the most powerful foes Peter Parker has ever battled. Spider-Man #1 by Marvel Comics arrives in comic book stores on October 5, 2022.
