Hammock Beach Resort is a gem of a destination that has a front row seat on the Atlantic Ocean. Whether you are visiting for a girls spa weekend or a golf retreat with buddies, you are sure to enjoy this beautiful destination. It is also well suited for families looking for a quiet beach and a fun pool (make that pools!).
There are many accommodations you can choose from at Hammock Beach Resort, from standard hotel rooms up to four bedroom villas. We stayed in a three bedroom Ocean Tower Villa, and all I can say is, this is the way to go. These 2800 square foot villas offer a stunning view of the ocean, and the golf course that cannot be seen anywhere else on property.
Each unit is privately owned, and therefore decorated differently. Meaning the photos I share of my villa, are not what each unit looks like. But what every unit does offer is 3 bedrooms, each with it's own full bath, a living room, dining room, half bath in hall, laundry room and a kitchen that will make any chef happy. I was absolutely blown away by the amount of space these villas offer.
Our villa (641) was well appointed with the master bedroom having a king bed, and full master bath with jacuzzi tub, shower and walk in closet. The other bedrooms had two twin beds, a large closet and full bathroom in each. This is a corner unit, and it offers the most beautiful wrap around porch with 360 views!

If you don't want to leave the resort while on vacation, you don't have to! There are so many amazing on-site activities to choose from you can spend your days freely enjoying the amazing amenities.
Beach - The largest playground on property is of course, The Atlantic Ocean! Bury your toes in the cinnamon shell sand, and let your worries melt away as the warm waves crash along the shore. As a resort guest you have private beach access, as well as chairs, towels and umbrellas free of use and waiting for you.
Pools - Offering multiple pools on-site there is surely one to fit your needs! For our girls trip we gravitated towards the adults only pool (it was closest to pool bar), but we also took a turn around the lazy river and splashed down the water slide.
Nine-hole Putting Course - Included in your resort fee is access to the professionally manicured putting course. Some call it mini-golf but I think this may be a step or two above that! It was a difficult course for sure, and there were no obstacles.
Bike Rentals - Included in your resort fee is a one-hour bicycle rental. Cruise the beach, explore the area or just pop down to the store, the beach cruising bikes are the perfect way to get around and explore the property.
Fitness Center - Offering state-of-the-art equipment with both cardio and weight training or take a spin on one of the newest Peloton bikes in their dedicated spin studio. Hammock Beach offers regular classes in everything from aerobics to yoga and pilates, with a professional wellness counselor on staff. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Kids Crew- (ages 4 - 12) - Kids ages 4-12 can enjoy an action-packed day of fun including include scavenger hunts, beach games, and pool activities with kids in their own age group Morning and evening drop-off programs are available which include lunch or dinner, craft making, and a day filled with fun activities. **Additional fees apply** Program currently on hold due to state guidelines.
Tennis- Choose from court time rentals or lessons with tennis professionals on eight lighted Hydro-Grid clay courts overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
Golf- Nestled along the shoreline and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the resort offers two award-winning golf courses for the ultimate golf getaway. The breathtaking Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course winds along pristine wetlands and sparkling lakes, while the Conservatory Course, designed by Tom Watson, is highlighted by waterfalls, babbling brooks, and field stone work.
Spa- For the ultimate in relaxation you can enjoy a world class spa day! With over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, The Spa at Hammock Beach provides wellness and tranquility at every turn.
I was pampered extensively while at Hammock Beach Resort. I enjoyed the Signature Pedicure which is a 75 minute treatment including hot stones, and a rejuvenating mud mask. After my pedicure I was so impressed that I booked a massage for later in the week. Might I suggest The Hammock Signature, which blends elements of Lomi Lomi, Hot stone, Aromatherapy and Swedish techniques. I felt so relaxed when I left there, I decided to spend the rest of my day sitting poolside and doing absolutely nothing.
Hammock Beach Resort offers unique dining experiences for guests. From casual pool side fare to elegant dining by the ocean, you can satisfy your cravings.
Atlantic Grille- Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner you will surely be swept away by the stunning ocean views. You can sit inside and enjoy the view from the floor to ceiling windows, or dine al' fresco and listen to the waves wash ashore. I dined here for breakfast and dinner, and was not disappointed at all.
I began my dinner with a beautiful glass of rose' and the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, for my main course I chose the Prime Rib special of the evening. Not to be outdone by the meal itself, the Boston Cream Churros are to die for! This is a well paced dining experience and not at all rushed, much like the resort as a whole. Breakfast the next morning was just as lovely, and again not at all a rushed experience.
Delfinos Italian Chophouse- Open each evening for dinner this Italian inspired chophouse is a must dine experience. I don't if we were hungry or just excited to be away, but we ordered so much food. I think we tried all of the appetizers, and the Lobster Mac & Cheese was a favorite. My Filet and Shrimp entree' was cooked perfectly, I could cut the beef with a butter knife it was that tender. Highly recommend for a memorable meal.
Lobby Bar- In the morning you can grab a cup of coffee and pastries from the lobby bar. In the afternoon and evening enjoy a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail.
Sushi Bar- This quaint dining establishment blew me away. The sushi was so fresh and full of flavor I wanted to try everything on the menu.
Ocean Bar & Cafe'- Spend the day poolside, and enjoy all that this open air location offers. From cocktails and mocktails to fresh salads and fish tacos, you are sure to find something for everyone in the family. I cannot recommend the Ocean Bar Tater Tot Nachos enough, they are a meal in and of themselves and certainly enough to share!
I cannot say enough about Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa, from outstanding service with every staff member I encountered, to spotless grounds and the many activities offered, I can say that I will be back with my own family.
