It's been a long two years since Season One, but finally everyone's favorite matchmaker Sima Taparia is back on Netflix, and ready to whip some clients with unrealistic expectations into shape. Indian Matchmaking originally premiered in June of 2020, and followed several singles across the U.S. and India on their journeys working with Sima to find love and get married. Season Two sees the return of some familiar faces who are still looking for the right person, as well as introduces a whole new crop of singles all over the country. It's an entertaining season of many first dates, and not a whole lot of successful pairings.but you won't find any spoilers here.

The Season One fan favorite is back. Things were looking hopeful for her at the end of our last batch of episodes, but she's quick to follow her heart in Season Two.and we hate to say it, but Sima might have been right on this one.

Aparna was a very picky dater in Season One, and not too popular among the show's fans. She even wrote a book called She's Unlikeable: And Other Lies That Bring Women Down after the show first aired. She's back this time around, plus she's moving to New York and is ready to start fresh. But has she changed?

North Carolina-based Viral is this season's newcomer with a long list of demands for Sima. Only time will tell if she'll be a Sima success story, too.

NYC-based Shital has long been ready to settle down, but hasn't been able to find the right guy. She's worried she's running out of time, and is hopeful Sima can help her out.

Akshay loves chickens. And he's also looking for a wife. Bonus points if she loves chickens, too. The trouble is, Akshay lives three hours outside of Mumbai in Nashik, which is lacking a population of eligible bachelorettes. (According to Sima, that isn't the only problem at hand.)
Arshneel, who is private on Instagram, is a charming cardiology fellow based in Cleveland, who's spent the last several years focused on his career. Now he's ready to settle down (with a Taco Bell-themed proposal, so here's hoping she likes Taco Bell), and Sima is here to help.
