Tonight's installment of NXT was an eventful one, to say the least. The main event featured Wendy Choo and Tiffany Stratton in a lights-out match; the two fought each other using pillows, a trash can, a bed frame, and a pile of legos as weapons. The episode also saw the heartwarming (and heartbreaking) reunion between Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis.
RELATED: Johnny Gargano Returns To WWE On Monday Night RawAdditionally, two matches with major ramifications have been set for NXT Worlds Collide; first, NXT Champion Bron Breakker will face NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate in a title unification match. The NXT and NXT UK Women's Championships will also be unified through a triple threat match between champions Mandy Rose, Meiko Satomura and challenger Blair Davenport.
Tonight's episode also featured another Chase University segment. Andre Chase introduced his students to Charlie Dempsey, a man who he says is very well-versed in British catch-as-catch-can grappling. Chase tells his students that Dempsey will be showing them some moves.
Dempsey immediately brutalizes the first student who volunteers. The next student to grapple with Dempsey, Bodhi Hayward, meets a similar fate. A fight breaks out between the two of them. Dempsey then calls Chase U's students "soft" and leaves the ring, telling them their homework assignment is to look up Billy Robinson.
Charlie Dempsey has previously competed in NXT UK and Progress Wrestling in England. Fans will have to wait and see whose skin Charlie Dempsey gets under next now that he's in the United States. If he's anything like his father, it will probably be more than a few people.
