A new poll has found that some parents may be concerned about schools going back online during the upcoming school year. School is an important part of a child's life, and it can even be seen as being essential, and there have been many disruptions lately.

The COVID-19 pandemic, while seeming to "calm down," had a large impact on the education of children. They found themselves having to switch to online learning and stay home. They had to see their teachers and peers through a computer screen, and this meant that education and social learning took a big hit.

Despite the fact that the world seems to be returning to normal, and that schools are about to open, there may be some parents out there who are concerned that there may always be the chance that schools will go back to remote learning.

A national poll was done by 4over, which can be read in full here, and it found that there are parents who are concerned that schools will return to virtual learning. The survey was done on over 1,000 US participants, and it asked about a variety of topics, and how comfortable people felt now when it came to attending them.

The survey found that 74% of participants said that 2022 has "set the standard" for what the new normal is. One in ten parents stated that they are worried that schools will return to remote learning. This is lower than what polls had said earlier in the pandemic, but 19% said that they are concerned about the learning loss their child experienced during the pandemic.

According to CNN, schools are relaxing a lot of their pandemic restrictions, as the CDC has ended the "test to stay" protocol, making it easier for children to stay in school if they have been exposed to the virus.

The survey also looked at how safe people felt when it came to going out in 2022. They found the following highlights:

While most are feeling comfortable about attending events, there are still some that they are putting off for now. Domestic travel, movie theaters and parties seem to be the main events that people don't mind missing out on in an attempt to avoid the virus.
