The number of open job vacancies in Finland during the second quarter of 2022 has increased significantly compared to the same period last year, according to a report published on Wednesday by Statistics Finland.
The number-crunching agency's report revealed that there were over 72,000 job vacancies in the second quarter of 2022, compared to 51,100 last year.
However, the recruitment difficulties experienced by employers have also increased since last year.
"Employers estimated that 65 percent of the open job vacancies were hard to fill, while the corresponding share was 58 percent one year earlier," the report outlined.
The highest number of job vacancies were in the Helsinki region, with the health and social care sectors in particular looking to recruit new workers.
