My favorite way to use my Chase Ultimate Rewards is to transfer them to Hyatt. You might be wondering why and this post is your answer. Hyatt award stays offer oversized value. Of all the possible chains you can book with points, you get the most value from Hyatt. I will be showing you multiple stays that we have done that will prove this point.

There are primarily two ways to earn these Hyatt Points. Getting the following World of Hyatt Cards:

At first glance, these might seem like the best ways to get Hyatt stays. Personally, I have both of these cards. However, the personal card has had a mediocre signup bonus for a long time. You get 30K points for spending $3,000 in 3 months and a free night certificate each year. That part is fine and it is why I keep the card. However, there is a second tier they offer where you can spend an additional $12K in 6 months for another 30K points. I would never do that part! That additional $12K spend can be split among 3 other credit cards for way more in points! You can also spend $5,000 in 3 months to get the 60k with the business card so why would you spend so much with the personal card?

I prefer to earn my points for staying at Hyatt with cards that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards. These include:

Note that the Chase Freedom and Ink Business Unlimited and Ink Business Cash cards are cash-back cards, but they actually give you Chase Ultimate Rewards. Then, if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, or Chase Ink Business Preferred you can move your points to one of those accounts and use them for travel. You can see though that there are a lot of ways to earn those coveted Hyatt points. Now let's check out why we believe that the Hyatt award stays offer oversized value.

We've published multiple stories about staying at Hyatt All-Inclusive including:

There are a ton of all-inclusive resorts we haven't been to. Yet. Believe me that staying at one for 25K/night or less for two people is an oversized value. These resorts run more than $600 a night and the ability to stay for 25K/night is one of the best deals on the planet. Food, drinks, entertainment all included - count me in!

Hyatt has also added Secrets and Dreams all-inclusive resorts as well so there are even more options! Some of these can even be booked for 12K points a night!

Using Hyatt Points at the Ziva Cancun represents oversized value in my opinion - can't wait to return!

When my sister and I went to Italy last year, part of our stay was in Lake Como. We stayed at the Victoria Grand Hotel Concept and Spa for 25K points a night. This hotel went for over $700/night and we received an upgraded room and the most delicious breakfast buffet each morning. This, too, is a hotel that I would love to return and stay at again.

The Grand Victoria Hotel in Lake Como offers oversized value!

Our friend, Jess, recently returned from an unbelievable trip where she stayed at two Hyatt hotels that offer oversized value - the Park Hyatt in Paris and the Andaz in London. I have also stayed at a Park Hyatt in Zanzibar and it was an incredible stay as well. Each of these other hotels would cost over $400/night.

The Park Hyatt Paris is one of the most aspirational stays in the world. The nightly rate runs about $1,500 - insane. You can stay there for 45k Hyatt points. Alex and I couldn't find it for our October stay but, don't worry, we found hotels that cost about $700 to stay at for only 25K in points.

The Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome is gorgeous!

I recently stayed at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London and loved my stay. It was close to all the must-see spots and just a charming, beautiful hotel. At only 25K/night for a $700/night hotel I think that it is a good example of one of the Hyatt award stays that offer oversized value.

You could stay in luxury at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel.

Another one of our favorite Hyatt awards stays that offers oversized value is the Maui Hyatt Regency. Again, staying for as little as 21K/night at a hotel that books for over $600/night (sometimes over $1,000 a night!) is a no-brainer. A similarly priced Marriott or Hilton would cost 3-4 times that much in points. This hotel is found on Kaanapali Beach which is such a fun location in Maui.

Do we think that Hyatt gives oversized value only for luxury stays? Absolutely not! This Hyatt Place is perfect for family stays with free breakfast and a sleeper sofa and two queen beds so a bigger family can stay for cheap. The price runs over $200 a night (and much much more at peak times) but can be booked for as little as 12K in Hyatt points. Alex and her family frequently stay at Hyatt Places for her boy's out-of-town sports and can book them for as little as 3,500 points/night. That makes a $200 hotel definitely an outsized value stay with points!

Hyatt Place Moab is in a great location and has a great pool!

We love to stay at any hotel with points and miles. However, the longer we are in the game we have realized that the Hyatt award stays offer oversized value. We are constantly trying to earn more Hyatt points so that means we are after a lot of Chase Ultimate Rewards to transfer to Hyatt! If you'd like a Guide to More Hyatt Points, click here.
