Lorain County Music Fest runs Aug. 12-14 at Elyria Amvets

Aug. 9-The Lorain County Music Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging, creating, mentoring and showcasing live local music and its artist of all ages and genres, is presenting Music Fest, according to a news release.

Rain or shine, Music Fest will take place Aug. 12-14 At Elyria AMVETS Post No. 32 located at the back pavilion at 11087 Middle Ave. in Elyria, the release said.

The event will feature 17 bands, according to the release.

Music starts at 5:50 p.m., Aug. 12, then again at 11:11 a.m., Aug. 13. and goes to midnight both nights, the release said.

The bands include: Bert Solis; Classic Overdrive; Galactic Reptile; Maxx Fluxx; Jesters Revenge; Oskar & The Trips; Stephen Swihart; Bonded By Darkness; Evan STANDEN; Suzie Love; Kroshack; Newton Falls; Coe; Ebeneezer the Crow; Wyld Ryde, bringing their style of Rock from the ghettos of Kentucky, Ball & Chain; The Janis Joplin Concert Experience; and Floyd Live, performing the sights and sounds of Pink Floyd.

There will be vendors at the event, the release said.

A $20 donation prior to the event covers entire weekend plus primitive camping, according to the release.

There will be tickets available at the gate for $25 the day of event, the release said.

Gates open at 2 p.m., Aug. 12.
