Following various recalls late last month, several vehicle manufacturers are again recalling thousands of models that can put you in danger. In addition, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration put out several notices to owners, urging them not to drive certain recalled cars.

Several Audi and Volkswagen models are subject to a recall. In the first, more than 1,200 models have a problem with the front passenger airbag that may explode or deploy improperly during a crash. The vehicles are all 2016 models and include:
In a separate recall, almost 50,000 2019-2021 Audi Q8 and 2020-2021 Audi Q7 vehicles have fuel pump issues. According to the recall notice, fuel pump failure can cause an engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Finally, Volkswagen is recalling certain 2022 Audi S3 and A3 sedans over a problem with the seat belt tensioner on the driver and front passenger seats. Almost 3,000 vehicles have defective components that can fail to restrain people during a crash. BMW detected a problem with certain 2022-2023 iX xDrive50, iX M60, 2022 i4 eDrive40, and i4 M50 models, leading to a recall. Impacted vehicles could have a battery with internal damage, leading to an electrical short-circuit, which increases fire risk.
According to the recall notice, "Owners are advised not to drive or charge their vehicles, and to park outside and away from structures until the remedy is complete. Two Ford models, the 2022 F-53 Motorhome Stripped Chassis and F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis have issues with the steering wheel attachment bolt. The steering wheel attachment bolt may loosen and separate from the steering column, resulting in a loose or detached steering wheel.

There is a problem with the tail light side marker assemblies on certain 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The recall notice states, "A tail light side marker that does not illuminate can reduce vehicle visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash."
As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamp, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Nissan is recalling more than 10,000 vehicles over a problem with the infotainment head unit. According to the recall notice from the NHTSA, when the Sirius XM subscription is set to "Not Subscribed," it may cause the infotainment head unit to reboot, resulting in an inoperative rearview camera. This increases the risk of a crash.

There are two separate recalls for Toyota vehicles, with the first involving around 60,000 Rav4, Rav4 Hybrid, and Rav4 Prime vehicles made in 2022. The front passenger seat may have been incorrectly assembled, leading to a faulty detection in the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor.
In the second recall, the NHTSA explains that one or more of the individual welds in the upper child seat anchors may be insufficient in certain 2022-2023 Tacoma vehicles. This makes the vehicles incompatible with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225.
