Currently in the news for having his SpaceX Starlink activated over Ukraine, Elon Musk has secretly welcomed a new baby with his on/off partner Grimes. The singer shared the news with Vanity Fair, and by the time the article was published, the parents had split up, again.
Already parents to the 'unusually' named Æ A-Xii - or X, for those of us who struggle to pronounce the boy's full name, the eccentric duo reportedly welcomed a little girl - Musk's first daughter - via surrogate in December 2021.
And her name? Scarlett? Isla?
Enter, Exa Dark Sideræl - or Y, for those of us who struggle.
The musician told Vanity Fair that the name is packed with meaning. Exa refers to 'exaFLOPS' a computing term where 'exa' means one quintillion. Dark refers to the unknown and 'dark matter' and the last name, Sideræl, comes from the elven language in Lord of the Rings and also hints at the character named Galadriel.

It appeared that Musk and Grimes spit in 2021 after three years together, and just two months before Y was born. This ties in with what came to light in July 2022, that one of Musk's executives allegedly gave birth to his twins just weeks before Grimes' baby Y arrived. Talk about complicated!
Musk celebrated as TIME Person of the Year in 2021, with his sixth son, Æ A-Xii.
Thirty-six-year-old Shivon Zilis and 41yo Musk filed to change the names of their twins - to add her surname - which is how the news of their births surfaced.
Soon after this Musk tweeted: "Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far."
Nick Cannon, who is awaiting the birth of his seventh and yet-to-be-confirmed eighth, tweeted back: "Right there with you my Brother!."
Grimes told Vanity Fair that their relationship is complicated but that she would call the world's richest man her 'boyfriend, but we're very fluid'.
Soon after the article was published, Grimes said they had split up again. She tweeted on March 10, 2022: "Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he's my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now".

Æ A-Xii and Exa Dark Sideræl with Grimes, and the rather tame but awesome named Nevada Alexander, Xavier, Griffin, Damian, Kai and Saxon with his former wife Justine Wilson.
Musk and the Canadian author were married in 2000 and had their son Nevada Alexander in 2002. Devastatingly, their little boy died of SIDS at just 10 weeks old.
The married couple later conceived twin boys via IVF, and Griffin and Xavier were born in 2004. The family wasn't complete and going down the IVF route again, Musk and Wilson had triplet sons in 2006 - Kai, Saxon and Damien.
When Griffin and Xavier turned 18, Xavier filed to not only change his gender and his name but to cut all ties with his billionaire NeuraLink father. Xavier now goes by the name Vivian Jenna Wilson and said that they no longer wanted to be associated or related to their biological father.
After Musk and Wilson divorced in 2008, Musk had two marriages to Westworld's Talulah Riley and a short relationship with actress Amber Heard, before dating Grimes.
