Finland's Defence Minister Antti Kaikkonen (Cen) has announced the birth of a baby son via an Instagram post on Friday.

The child is the Centre Party MP's second with wife Jannika Ranta, following the birth of their eldest in July 2020.

"The miracle of life," Kaikkonen wrote on the Instagram post. "Alvar got a little brother and we got a little treasure."
