The primary cast of Steven Spielberg's new West Side Story, including Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler and Rita Moreno, were snapped Monday at SiriusXM Studios in Los Angeles in promotion of the upcoming remake.
Elgort, 27, donned a shimmery beige button-up top with black pants and shoes at the event.
Zegler, 20, donned a shoulderless Emilia Wickstead dress with matching pointy-toe heels.
Rita Moreno, 89, wore an all-black ensemble of a long-sleeved top and leather pants, with a brown belt and a red shall.
She rounded things out with a black checkered top and red earrings. The Hollywood icon, who appeared in the 1961 original, portrays the new character Valentina in the movie.
Mike Faist, 29, who plays Riff, wore a black suit with a white T-shirt. David Alvarez, 27, who plays Bernando, wore a button-up black top with matching pants.
Ariana DeBose, 30, who plays Anita in the film, was stylish in a black coat with large buttons and white trim, and black pants.
The cast was seen amid news that the movie will not be distributed to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar or the UAE, Deadline reported Monday.
The reason behind the distribution was due to a character named Anybodys (played by Iris Menas), according to the outlet.
Saudi Arabia and Kuwait rejected to approve the distribution of the movie, while the other countries asked edits be made that Disney rejected, sources told Deadline.
Zegler, speaking with The Sydney Morning Herald on Sunday, said that the role of Maria is 'a huge responsibility' that she did not take 'lightly.'
'To say you were one of 30,000 seen by Steven Spielberg is an honor,' the actress said. 'To get the role is an even bigger honor.'
West Side Story is set to arrive in theaters Friday.
