STARKVILLE, Miss. - Dak Prescott, move aside.

Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers broke two of Prescott's program records in the first quarter against Tennessee State on Saturday, continuing his dominant sophomore season for the Bulldogs. Rogers is now the program leader for the most single-season passing yards and passing touchdowns, beating Prescott's marks from 2015.

On the Bulldogs' first drive, Rogers lofted in a 21-yard pass to Austin Williams in the end zone, giving the Brandon, Mississippi native his 30th passing touchdown of the season. The previous school-record total, set by Prescott, now a star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, was 29.

And on the next drive, which Mississippi State capped with a seven-yard rushing score from Jo'quavious Marks, Rogers passed Prescott's program-best record of 3,793 passing yards in a season. Rogers had entered needing just 72 yards to break that record, bringing his tally above 3,800 - and counting.

Rogers has rewritten the record book this season, most recently setting the record for most touchdown passes in a game, throwing six in a comeback win against Auburn last week.
