To score even more savings right now, Nordstrom is enticing customers to sign up for a Nordstrom Credit Card through Nov. 21 to receive a $60 note to use at the retailer.
If you're not ready to take the credit card plunge you should consider taking advantage of Nordstrom's reward points system, called The Nordy Club. At check out, presenting your Nordy Club Card, or just entering the account's associated phone number, will earn you points for every purchase. Every dollar spent equates to one point, but the benefits increase if you pay with a Nordstrom debit or credit card.
For example, payment with the Nordstrom Debit Card or Nordstrom Credit Card will earn you two points for each dollar spent at Nordstrom locations. "Ambassadors,"- meaning customers who spend at least $5,000 with the retailer each year - earn three points when they pay with the Nordstrom Visa Credit Card at any place Visa is accepted, which could amount to a significant amount of reward points over time. Once Nordy Club members have racked up 1,000 points they earn a $10 note to use across Nordstrom stores and online.
Being a Nordy Club member is free with no strings attached. All you have to do is sign up online or in-store. The program has the same benefits at Nordstrom Rack, which is already full of marked down merchandise, and Nordstrom Trunk Club, the at-home try on program. Rewards are the same in-store and online.
Points expire after 12 months of inactivity with Nordstrom, so make sure you use them before embarking on any long term, monk-like shopping cleanses.
