Canelo Alvarez got married just days after his fight with Billy Joe Saunders in a lavish ceremony - without a scratch from his eight round battle with the Brit.
Fans have joked after pictures emerged of the event that it appears as if Alvarez wasn't concerned that he would be visibly hurt in any way from the massive title unification bout.
Top boxer Alvarez, 30, tied the knot with stunning girlfriend Fernanda Gomez over the weekend, with the World Boxing Organisation posting a lovely photo of the couple on Instagram.
The post, which was liked just under 4,000 times, has the caption: "The WBO Family wishes lots of love and happiness to the recently married couple, unified WBO Super Middleweight Champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Fernanda Gomez."
Just days earlier, 73,000 fans packed into the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas to watch Alvarez stop Billy Joe Saunders in the eighth round.
The pair traded big blows over the length of the contest, but a beautiful shot in the eighth left the previously undefeated British star in need of emergency hospital due to fracturing multiple bones around his eye socket. © World Boxing OrganisationCanelo Alvarez married long-time girlfriend Fernanda Gomez over the weekend
It is believed that Saunders was at risk of losing his sight in the injured eye, although there has been controversy over the corner's decision to pull him out of the fight.
Former world champion Saunders is believed to have made in the region of £5.6 million for the fight, which was the highest-attended indoor boxing event in American history and signaled the return of ginormous sport crowds in the States after the pandemic.
Alvarez made a reported to have made well over £10.6m for the fight, which appeared to be relatively even before the fight-changing punch - despite some lopsided scorecards.
The wedding between the Mexican boxing star and gorgeous bride Gomez comes after almost five years of dating - the pair have two children together.
And Canelo appears to be showing no signs of slowing down, with promoter Eddie Hearn seemingly already in discussions for a September return date against Caleb Plant to unify the super middleweight division at the new Allegiant Stadium in Vegas.
Meanwhile, Saunders will have to wait and see how his recovery pans out before he makes any concrete decisions on his boxing future.
When the fight was stopped, Alvarez was leading on all three scorecards by scores of 78-74 on two cards and 77-75. He had outlanded 31-year-old Saunders by a margin of 73-60 according to CompuBox - as well as landing 53% of his power shots.
