There was no hiding Candice Warner's tell-tale smile when she stepped out in Sydney on Monday.

The 36-year-old cricket WAG was in high spirits as she ran errands, shortly after her husband of six years, David Warner, arrived back in Australia.

It was revealed on Monday that a group of Australian cricketers and their support staff had returned to Sydney after they were left stranded in India.

The cricketers touched down on a private jet at around 7.30am on Monday, after fleeing the COVID ravaged country for the Maldives.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph earlier this month, Candice said she was counting down the days until David could come home.

'It is a dire situation in India and we're really looking forward to having him home safe as soon as he can get back,' she said at the time.

The Australian cricket team found themselves trapped in India after Australia closed its borders to the beleaguered nation.

They were left stranded after the Indian Premier League was suspended indefinitely and multiple players tested positive to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, thousands of Australians are still awaiting repatriation flights out of India under strict new restrictions.

Candice was seen smiling widely as she chatted on her mobile phone outside of what appeared to have been a service station.

The mum-of-three was dressed casually in an oversize black Dolce & Gabbana paint splatter sweatshirt.

She also wore a pair of black exercise tights with sheer panels and black Nike sneakers.

Her long blonde hair was tied up in a high ponytail, and she wore natural-looking makeup, which gave her a bronzed glow.

Candice was later joined by a female friend on a walk, with the two women chatting as they walked.

She then returned to her white SUV with some letters in her hand.

In a post on Instagram on Saturday, Candice shared a photo of herself and David, and wrote: 'Missing moments like these @davidwarner31. I love you.'

David commented, 'Soo much love my darling,' adding a series of red love heart emojis.

He also shared a sweet photo of himself and Candice on his own Instagram, and wrote: 'So much love @candywarner1 miss you my love mwa #wife #bestfriend'.
