A two-bed flat near Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital could be yours for just £1,000.

The high-rise flat in Okement Drive is going under the hammer at the Bond Wolfe Auctions on Wednesday May, 19.

It boasts a reception room with balcony access, kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom with separate WC and allocated parking outside.

Considered to offer great potential for an investor, there is a guide price of just £1,000 set for the leasehold of the property, which is just a short walk from the city's hospital.

At the other end of the scale, a five bedroom semi-detached house in Brennand Road, Oldbury, is being sold with a guide price of £230,000.

The newly refurbished and extended property is set back from the road behind a front garden.

It has off-road parking for a number of vehicles, as well as vehicle access at the rear to a detached garage.

The house extends over three floors and includes a large extended fitted kitchen with an island breakfast bar unit.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: "As our auctions have grown in size, so they have grown in the sheer range of properties we are able to offer for sale. And that is certainly the case in our auction on May 19.

"With 236 lots, this will be the largest auction ever held outside of London.

"While some of the homes for sale are in need of renovation, they have low guide prices that make them attractive to first-time buyers with DIY skills or landlords looking to increase their portfolios.

"Many others are in a good state of repair and simply need a new family to stamp their personality on them."

Homes in need of modernisation but with low guide prices include a two bedroom semi-detached house at 18 Blockall, Wednesbury.

With a guide price of £19,000-£24,000 it is laid out with two reception rooms, a kitchen and a WC on the ground floor with the two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, while there is a rear garden and a garage.

In Wolverhampton a three bedroom semi-detached house at 15 Rookery Road has a guide price of £50,000 for a property with large gardens front and rear. Although it has a gas fired central heating system it too is in need of modernisation throughout.

Also in need of refurbishment is a two bedroom semi-detached bungalow at 6 Beaconsfield Drive in Wolverhampton. With a guide price of £50,000, it offers gardens front and rear, with a hall, reception room, kitchen and bathroom alongside the bedrooms.

The auction will start at 8.30am on May 19 and will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe Auctions' website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
