On Friday, after much speculation, rap icon Nicki Minaj dropped some highly anticipated music with a re-release of her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty, featuring artists such as Lil Wayne and Drake, the young money family.
Minaj also finally revealed that she's been catching up on a popular Netflix show on her downtime-The Crown, and took to her website to share her perspective in a sweet, open letter to her fans.
The icon began her letter stating that she's "obsessing over The Crown on Netflix" ever since Kenya Barris, the creator of ABC's family comedy Black-ish told her about it.
"It's safe to say I've watched every episode of every single season at least 5 times each. Lol. Yikes. I know," Minaj said.
We've all done this with a show we ended up loving!
Minaj then mentioned how much she loves Claire Foy's presence in scenes, saying, "I can't get enough of Claire Foy's perfect face. I want to eat it. It just does the right thing in every single scene. Lmao."
She also was in awe with how much she enjoyed Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, although she's "a Meryl StreepINISTA."
Then Minaj talked about loving Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and Josh O'Conner as Prince Charles, even citing O'Conner as "a tad hunkier."

"She brought those words to life in such a way that I truly felt as if she could've been speaking about the music industry right now," she wrote.
Minaj continued: "The writing in the original play was just brilliant but she was able to even add a billion times more to it and I didn't think that was even possible [American playwright] August Wilson is the TRUTH!!!
Of course, she added a bit about Chadwick Boseman and his incredible performance in the film as Levee.

Boseman was nominated for Best Actor at the 93rd Academy Awards, but the award ultimately went to Sir Anthony Hopkins for The Father. Some people were upset because they felt Boseman's final captivating role was brilliant.
Additionally, Minaj spoke heartwarmingly about motherhood, saying, "I've also been completely overwhelmed with joy & fulfillment in the world of Papa Bear. Each day creates a new & fascinating, magical memory that I hide far away into a little cute compartment of my heart; vowing never to forget any of it."
She also divulged her son's favorite things to watch and his budding personality.
"...His favorite movie is Madagascar (Escape 2 Africa) 𥴠won't stop watching it. LOL. He's so smart, funny, sweet, competitive... it's kind of crazy how they have a full personality so early on, she said.
Minaj briefly spoke about the passing of her father Robert Maraj who was killed in a hit-and-run in February, noting she's having a hard time talking about it. She added that it was "the most devastating loss" of her life and that she finds herself I find myself "wanting to call him all the time."
"May his soul rest in paradise. He was very loved & will be very missed," she continued.
Towards the end of her letter, she addressed that it's always important to take a step back and "observe" what's going on around you in a "world of smoke & mirrors."
Minaj also talked about the passing of rap legend DMX in April saying that it hit her to her core and it "felt like losing someone I grew up with."
