Foodies are now using air fryers to make rich caramel slices.
The 'game-changing' recipe shared by food blogger Recipe Tin Eats has been adapted with clever new changes posted on Facebook.
To make the dessert you'll need plain flour, brown sugar, desiccated coconut, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, sweetened condensed milk, melted chocolate and vegetable oil.
The method is split into three parts to make the biscuit base, caramel and chocolate topping.

BISCUIT BASE INGREDINETS:
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
125g unsalted butter (melted)
TOPPING INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
125g unsalted butter (cubed)
395g sweetened condensed milk
200g melting chocolate
1 tbsp vegetable oil
First preheat the air fryer to 160 degrees Celsius and line a pan with baking paper.
Combine the ingredients for the biscuit base in a bowl then press into the pan and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
Leave in the fridge to cool and harden, then start preparing the caramel by placing butter, vanilla and sugar in a saucepan.
Lower the air fryer to 140 degrees Celsius, combine the mixture and leave to simmer until bubbles start to form.

Whisk for one minute then pour the caramel over the biscuit base, ensuring the layer is even.
Bake in the air fryer for 12 minutes then leave on the bench to cool for 20 minutes before refrigerating for half an hour.
To make the chocolate topping, place the chocolate and oil together in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.
Pour the melted chocolate on top of the caramel and return the baking tray to the fridge for one hour to set.
The end result looks delicious and would likely be a crowd pleaser at social events and gatherings.
How to make caramel slice in an air fryer:
For the base:
Preheat the air fryer to 160 degrees Celsius
Mix the base ingredients together in a bowl and line a pan with baking paper
Press the mixture in the pan and bake for 15 minutes
Refrigerate until hard
For the caramel:
Place the butter, vanilla and sugar in a saucepan
Lower the air fryer to 140 degrees Celsius
Bring the mixture to a simmer until it bubbles then whisk and pour over the biscuit base
Bake in the air fryer for 12 minutes then leave on the bench to cool for 20 minutes and return to the fridge for 30 minutes
For the chocolate:
Melt the chocolate and vegetable oil in a bowl in the microwave for one minute
Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel and return to the fridge until set
