Ah, nothing like a case of mistaken identity to really humble you.
Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham has revealed she once thought she was being papped at a department store, only to realise the photographers were looking for A-lister Gwen Stefani instead.
She recalled the hilarious experience while appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show today.
"I was shopping there, and the security guard came over and was like, 'I just want you to know, there are paparazzi outside,'" the 54-year-old Parenthood actress recounted, admitting it was a pretty big moment that the security guard had both recognised her. Even better, the guard offered to walk her to her car for her safety.

Although she didn't feel unsafe, Graham decided to take him up on his offer, asking him to walk her out once she'd finished shopping.
"I finished my shopping and I was like 'thank you so much sir I'm ready to go to the car," Graham told Clarkson. "And he walks me out to the car and... nobody took my picture."

"He was so confused, and I was like, 'Oh, they must not be here for me,'" she laughed. "And he's like, 'Yeah, Gwen Stefani's also here.'"
Although slightly embarrassed, the actress admitted it did ground her.
"And it was a real moment," she said. "Cause I was like, Oh, well, I guess I'm not quite there."
Clarkson assured Graham she wasn't alone in not being recognised from time to time, recalling how she'd once been offered a job while shopping, despite already being pretty famous.
"I was flattered," she laughed. "But also thinking 'I still haven't quite made it.'"
