A team bus belonging to Liverpool has been blocked down and reportedly had the tyres deflated as Manchester United fans again looked to disrupt the Premier League game with protests.

The initial match on May 2 was called off as anti-Glazer protestors got into the ground and onto the pitch, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team were stuck in the team hotel.

Pictures emerged of the United team arriving at Old Trafford early on Thursday afternoon in a bid to avoid more disruption, but Jurgen Klopp's men may have had their route interrupted.

Images on social media shows a Liverpool-branded bus blocked in by cars near their hotel. Tyres on the coach are reported to have been let down before police arrived.

The bus was on the move at 6pm, when supporters began their anti-Glazerdemonstration outside Old Trafford, with Sky Sports reporting soon after that "more fans are arriving" ahead of the 8.15pm kick-off time.

The heightened police presence follows violent clashes between fans and officers ahead of the originally scheduled game, in which over 100 supporters forced their way into the stadium and stormed the pitch to protest against the club's owners - the Glazer family.

Manchester United squad are understood to have arrived at Old Trafford earlier in the afternoon, around 2pm, in a change to their usual matchday routine.
