Cristiano Ronaldo's mother Dolores has claimed she will attempt to convince her son to make a sensational return to Sporting Lisbon at the end of the season.
Ronaldo has enjoyed another impressive campaign on a personal level, scoring 28 goals in 32 appearances for Juventus in Serie A.
But he has been unable to inspire his side to success, and there is a real danger of Juve missing out on Champions League qualification, with Andrea Pirlo's team lying in fifth place with just two games remaining.
If this is the case Ronaldo may well decide to cut short his stay in Turin and leave this summer, despite his contract not being set to expire until the end of next season.
Juve's struggles are in stark contrast to Ronaldo's first club Sporting, who recently sealed their first Primeira Liga title since 2002.

Their supporters flooded to the streets in scenes of wild celebrations, and Dolores was filmed by one fan joining in with the festivities on a balcony in the city.
In the video she was asked about her son's future, and she replied: "I'm going to go to Turin and speak to him. Next year he will play in Alvalade, I'll convince him and he will return."
Ronaldo came through the academy at Sporting but made just 31 senior appearances before Manchester United splashed out £12.24m in 2003 to make him, at the time, the world's most expensive teenager.
It remains to be seen whether the 36-year-old would be as keen as his mother to go back to his old team, however, and the Portuguese star's astronomical wages could be a sticking point.
Speculation continues to grow that Ronaldo is growing more and more fed up at Juventus, with some reports linking him with a big-money move to the USA.
Sporting would certainly be the most romantic option, while returns to Real Madrid or United are also not out of the question.
