Even though the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said fully vaccinated people are free to travel again, many Americans are still opting for an off-the-grid getaway over a city escape right now. In fact, an Airbnb report from April 2021 found that searches for remote destinations in the United States over Memorial Day weekend have increased 40 percent from the previous month.

But not every outdoorsy traveler likes to sleep in a tent. Thankfully, Airbnb lists hundreds of cabins throughout the nation where you can explore the forest by day and relax in front of a fireplace or in a hot tub on the deck at night. From rustic log cabins fit for solo retreats to midcentury modern A-frames that are great for your entire family, there's something here for every type of trip, whether you're looking for a place in the Blue Ridge Mountains or in Big Bear, California.

Even better? More than half of these Airbnb cabins cost $200 or less per night to rent. So go ahead-pack your weekend getaway bag and take some time to disconnect from it all in the woods.
