Surge testing will take place in north Kensington following the discovery of a number of cases of the South African variant.

All residents over the age of 16 and living in the Colville ward area of W11 have been asked to take a coronavirus swab.

Enhanced contact tracing will be deployed for those who test positive.

Symptomatic residents have been asked to stay at home and book a test online or by phone.

Those without symptoms are asked to visit the boroughs website here.

Residents have also been asked to continue using twice-weekly rapid testing as part of surge testing.

Last month surge testing facilities were set up in three south London boroughs - Lambeth, Wandsworth and Southwark - after clusters of the variant were found.

A single case of the variant was also detected in Barnet, north London.
