Stage and screen star Tony Armatrading has died aged 60, after losing his battle to cancer.
The actor passed away this afternoon, a friend confirmed, and tributes have began pouring in for the performer.
Fellow actor and pal Tim Bentinck paid tribute as he wrote: "Very sad news. My dearest friend Tony Armatrading died of cancer an hour ago.

"I had the privilege of being his best man, and loved him dearly. He was a wonderful actor, and a true friend."
The star's fans and other colleagues also shared their tributes on social media.
One Twitter user wrote: "Just heard that Tony Armatrading has died. So desperately sad and unfair. He was in the first play I worked on at the @BelgradeTheatre and he was the nicest, sweetest man you could wish to meet.

Tony starred in Notting Hill as well as The Saint and Now You See Me 2.

He also starred as Xalek in a series of Star Wars video games, including Star Wars: The Old Republic - Knights of the Fallen Empire.
Birmingham-born Tony was the brother of musician Joan Armatrading, who was nominated twice for Best Female Artist at the BRIT Awards.
He leaves behind his wife Suzan Crowley and their pet dog Dash, who he was pictured with shortly before his passing.
