Prince Harry's new mental health Apple TV+ series is due to air this month, it has been revealed.

The 36 year old Duke of Sussex said "we're all human" today on 10 May 2021 as the it was announced The Me You Can't See will come to screens on 21 May.

The project was delayed for months due to his exit from the Royal Family as well as the restrictions brought on by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking about the project, Prince Harry explained: "We are born into different lives, brought up in different environments, and as a result are exposed to different experiences.

"But our shared experience is that we are all human. The majority of us carry some form of unresolved trauma, loss, or grief, which feels - and is - very personal."

"Yet the last year has shown us that we are all in this together and my hope is that this series will show there is power in vulnerability, connection in empathy and strength in honesty," he added.

Oprah, who co-produced the series, chimed in to say: "Now more than ever, there is an immediate need to replace the shame surrounding mental health with wisdom, compassion, and honesty.

"Our series aims to spark that global conversation."

The project was announced in April 2019 as Oprah explained to CBS: "I asked [Prince Harry] the question, 'What do you think are the most important issues facing the world right now?' and he said there are two.

"He said climate change and mental wellness, mental fitness and mental health. As you know, he's spoken about his own issues and what he went through after his mother died and how being able to talk about it has benefited him.

"So it's a passion of his and, at the end of the conversation, I said, 'Oh, I'm going to be doing this thing with Apple'.

"'It's a big concern of mine too and I want to try to erase the stigma,' and he said at the end of the conversation, 'If there's anything I can do to help'."

This isn't the first time Prince Harry has worked opposite the famed talk show host as earlier this year Oprah interviewed both him and his 39 year old pregnant wife Meghan Markle.

After it was announced that Harry and Meghan had made the decision to permanently step down as working members of the Royal family, the royal said in the clip that he "can't begin to imagine" what Diana was faced to go through alone.

He added that he was "relieved" he was able to sit next to his wife as he said: "My biggest concern was history repeating itself."

"For me, I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side," he added.
