The mobile action will begin with the Open Qualifiers on May 29 and May 30. More details about the registration and format will come at a "later date," according to Activision. All players above 18 years of age are invited to participate in this competition.

The event itself will begin on June 14. So far there are no further details about the event's format or schedule but the action will be available to watch on Twitch starting that day. 16 teams in North America will compete for a prize pool of $50,000, as will 16 teams in Europe, making the total prize pool $100,000.

Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship coming later this year

The Masters tournament is part of a larger circuit that leads to the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship. Teams who compete in Masters will have a chance to qualify for the Finals of the World Championship. The 2021 World Championship tournament has a $2 million prize pool, making it one of the most high-stakes mobile events in esports.

There are five stages, being solo play, team play, regional qualifiers, regional playoffs, and the finals. Individual players who advance from solo play will compete in team play. They will form teams and fight to be one of the top 256 teams. This will bring them to the regional qualifiers, which has an elimination-style bracket.

Each region in the World Championship will have a separate regional playoff. Winners will be invited to the finals. Whichever team comes out on top will be the first-ever Call of Duty: Mobile World Champions.

The complete list of regions has not yet been revealed nor has the entire schedule and structure. Keep an eye on the newly created Call of Duty: Mobile Esports YouTube channel for updates.
