Livia Firth has claimed her environmental campaigns would not spark interest if it weren't for her high-profile relationship with actor husband Colin, 60.
The Italian film producer, neé Giuggioli, recently produced the short documentary film Fashionscapes: A Living Wage about the ethics of the retail industry yet she insisted the attention given to the short was linked to her marriage.
Livia, 51, who split from Colin amid infidelity claims in 2019, told The Times, she said: 'I could never have done what I have done if I wasn't married to Colin... I don't care, we do what is needed.'

Livia explained that she held no qualms about utilising famous friendships or connections to further the success of her projects.
'People will listen to them... We need to grab people's attention,' said the Green Carpet Challenge founder, who has encouraged everyone from Meryl Streep to Viola Davis to wear recycled materials on the red carpet.
In return for the publicity, Livia has happily become known as 'Colin Firth's wife' within A-list social circles.
She continued: 'We were once talking about feminism and Annie [Lennox] said it's so ingrained in us: "The other day I realised I was talking about you to someone and I called you Colin Firth's wife."

'I said, "What's wrong with that? I can be someone's wife and still be me. I don't need to be valued by that." We laughed a lot about that. It became a joke.'
Livia and Colin separated at the end of 2019 almost two years after it emerged she had an affair with her childhood friend.
The Love Actually star confirmed the news in a statement from his publicist, which said: 'Colin and Livia Firth have separated. They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children.'

Their split came after it was revealed in March 2018 that Livia had a year-long affair with Italian journalist Marco Brancaccia.
She sparked a police investigation after claiming her childhood friend Mr Brancaccia harassed her with a 'frightening' barrage of messages.
Colin then confronted his wife over a 'heartbreaking and malicious' email from her ex-lover in March 2018.

At the time, a friend of Colin's said: 'This guy Marco basically told Colin everything he had been doing with his wife for a year. The email was a detailed diatribe, humiliated Colin and was designed with no other motive than to wound.
'He described intimate meetings that would devastate any husband - no matter what the state of their marriage. And he did so with the misguided and hopeless belief he could destabilise the efforts being made by Colin and Livia to sort things out.
'Colin presented this to his wife and in what must have been a very difficult confrontation. But he is the man that he is and has maintained his dignity throughout.'

As well as the email to Firth, his wife claims she received phone calls, lived in terror and believed she was being followed.
Mrs Firth also said emails containing pictures of her were sent to her husband after the pair reunited.
But Mr Brancaccia told The Times that Mrs Firth had invented the claims to cover up their affair, which happened between 2015 and 2016.
Since his separation from Livia, Colin was spotted late last year taking romantic strolls with the BBC newsreader Joanna Gosling, 50.
Mr Firth's publicist declined to comment on the outing and Ms Gosling failed to respond to requests to comment.
