The 29-year-old has missed a large chunk of Rangers' title-winning season - he was also sidelined by a knee injury in November and has not featured since trudging off against Dundee United in February - but he has vowed to return to fitness in time for the start of the Ibrox club's Premiership title defence.
Jack posted on Instagram: "Morning Teddy's - just letting everyone know I had a successful operation yesterday morning and I'm now on the road to recovery.
"Can't wait to be back for the start of next season and getting back doing what I love.
"Thanks to everyone for the messages it's much appreciated. All focus now is on 56! Let's go."
