Since joining the club at the start of 2018, Virgil van Dijk have helped to transform Liverpool's defence.
The Dutchman has gone on to win the Champions League and Premier League with the club and doesn't look like slowing down.
In a recent feature with BBC Sport, pundit Micah Richards was more than complimentary towards Van Dijk.
In fact, Richards even went as far to say that the Liverpool man could go on to become the best defender ever.
Himself, Alan Shearer, and Gary Lineker spoke on the Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast yesterday picking their top 10 centre-backs.
Van Dijk featured in the top 10, with Richards making his statement due to the incredible impact he has had at the club.
It is easy to see why Richards would make such a statement too.
All Liverpool fans know how impressive Van Dijk has been for the club after his move from the South Coast.
Many questioned the £76million price tag that came with Van Dijk back in 2018 but Jurgen Klopp was sure.
Looking back now, it was an absolute bargain from the club given all that he has helped to achieve.
There is still plenty of time for Van Dijk to make his way up the list too, with the Reds hoping fro different fortunes next season.
The current campaign has been far from perfect and Van Dijk's injury in October is no doubt a big part of that.
His absence has been massively noticed but he is continuing to step up his fight back to fitness.
