U.K. firm Lister has been modifying Jaguars to go quicker for decades, but its XJS of the early Nineties might be its crowning achievement. Dubbed the"Le Mans," it packs a bored-out version of the XJS V-12 engine paired with not one, but two superchargers. There's also a widebody kit, a fantastic set of wheels, and a proper manual transmission. We're in love.

This Lister Le Mans is one of just 20 built by the company just prior to the introduction of the firm's now-legendary Storm race car. It has a wider track, afforded by a set of 17-inch Lister-branded alloy wheels wrapped under flared fenders on all four corners, and wider bumpers to iron out the looks. There's also a new suspension setup and AP Racing brakes on all four corners.

As cool as the Le Mans is to look at, the real upgrades can be found under the hood. The factory V-12 has been bored out to 7.0 liters and equipped with two superchargers. The setup was good for 600 horsepower when new, enough to get the car all the way to 200 mph flat-out. Getting power to the rear wheels is a six-speed manual transmission. Just as it should be.

The car is currently listed for sale at 4 Star Classics, a dealership in the United Kingdom, with an asking price of £69,995 (around $97,000 at current exchange rates). For a car as rare, special, and capable as this, we'd say that's a fair price.
