After a year's hiatus, the HOT ROD Power Tour, Presented by HP Tuners and Driven by Continental Tire, is back for 2021, and we are anticipating greater participation than ever before. Bust out of those COVID blues and be part of the world's largest rolling car show. Register for the 2021 HOT ROD Power Tour here.

As tradition dictates, the new year's Power Tour begins at the final location of the previous year. We know it's been about six-and-a-half years since HOT ROD Power Tour 2019, but we still remember where we left off. Whether you're already near the Tour or need to long haul just to get to a spot, here's all you need to know about each location on HOT ROD Power Tour 2021 Driven by Continental Tire.

Summit Motorsports Park

Summit Motorsports park was established in 1963 as Norwalk Dragway in Norwalk, Ohio. Goodyear used the track as a testing ground until 1973 and was Norwalk Dragway's only claim to fame until IHRA came along and held their first World Nationals that year. The IHRA World Nationals were held at Norwalk Raceway Park (as it later came to be known) every year from 1973 to 2006, when Summit Racing Equipment bought the naming rights to the track. Up till this point, Norwalk was not an NHRA-certified dragstrip, but that changed with the name-Summit Motorsports Park-and the millions of dollars that went into refurbishing and renovating the facility. Since 2007, Summit Motorsports Park has been the home of the Pontiac Performance NHRA Nationals. Last time HOT ROD Power Tour was there, in 2019, an 18 year-old high school graduate won the burn out contest in a big block-powered C10.

Montgomery County Fairgrounds

The local fairgrounds are the centers of small town America. Sure, they're usually geographically located outside the metropolitan area of a city or town, but so much happens at these gathering centers they're always the place to be. Agricultural shows, car shows, sporting events, county fairs-the local county fairground is where the community comes together for everything. The Montgomery County Fairgrounds being located just outside of Ohio's sixth largest city, Dayton, should mean the turn out for Day 2 of HOT ROD Power Tour is a big one.

Lucas Oil Raceway

Established in 1958 as Indianapolis Raceway Park, Lucas Oil Raceway is one of the premier dragstips in the world. Nearly 500,000 people come to watch the tire shredding action go down at Lucas Oil Raceway's 4,400-foot dragstrip every year. It's a favorite location for HOT ROD Power Tour and Drag Week, the Roadkill Universe shows on the MotorTrend App love to film there and it is generally an epicenter of hot rod and drag racing culture in America today. Surprisingly, Lucas Oil Raceway only holds one NHRA event every year, but it's the big one-The NHRA U.S. Nationals. There's no way any long hauler on HOT ROD Power Tour 2021 would consider the middle day at Lucas Oil Raceway, "hump day. "

Register to be a participant on HOT ROD Power Tour 2021 Driven by Continental Tire, here! Come for one day as a spectator, cruise with us for a day or two, or join all the HOT ROD staff for the entire week and earn the coveted "Long Hauler" title!

World Wide Technology Raceway

Formerly Gateway International Raceway or Gateway Motorsports Park, World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) does it all-oval, road course, drag strip, drift pad-you want it, they got it. WWTR hosts the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, SCCA, Porsche Club of America, NHRA, ADRL (American Drag Racing League), The Super Chevy Show; basically, if you're in St. Louis, Missouri and you like cars, there's always something to do at WWTR. Namely, HOT ROD Power Tour 2021, don't forget to register for that. We'll be there Thursday, August 26, 2021. Don't miss it!

State Farm Center

Don't confuse this HOT ROD Power Tour 2021 location with State Farm Research and Development Center, also owned and operated by University of Illinois. Opening in 1963 as Assembly Hall, State Farm Center was the largest dome structure in North America until the Houston Astrodome opened. The arena hold over 15,000 people and 614 miles of 1/4-inch steel wire hold up the roof! State Farm Center is the third largest arena between Chicago and St. Louis, so the final day of HOT ROD Power Tour 2021 promises to be a big one.

This year's route will take us from Norwalk, Ohio, to Champaign, Illinois, with stops in Dayton, Indianapolis, and St. Louis in between, and you can be assured that we will be traveling some amazing roads through this scenic part of the country along the way. It all starts on August 23, 2021. Join us for a day, if that's all you can spare, or sign up as a Long Hauler, and set aside the whole week with the HOT ROD staff and about 5,000 more like-minded automotive enthusiasts. We can't think of a better way to spend a week in August. See you then!
