Suspected drunk driver Jessica Beauvais ranted against police in a Facebook livestream just hours before she allegedly killed a New York police officer during a hit-and-run.
Beauvais, 32, uploaded a nearly two-hour long livestream on her Facebook page, under the name Phoenix Michel, on Monday evening, which opened with the N.W.A song "F*** Tha Police."
She went on to share her views on the Derek Chauvin trial, police violence against Black people and how she wanted others to fight police.
Beauvais said: "We can fight the police too. If you're going to shoot me, get it over with. What I'm saying you're not going to try me while I'm still breathing."
She later added: "Like N.W.A say about the police-if you're going to kill me, at least I get to take someone with me. I'm one of those people. If I'm going to go, someone is coming."
Beauvais also spoke about the recent killing of Daunte Wright who was fatally shot by the now former Minnesota officer Kimberly Potter, who said she mistook her gun for a Taser.
Beauvais said: "I know 13-year-olds from the hood that know a Taser from a gun. I know mother f**** know a BB gun from a Taser from a gun. How come you can't figure that out."
Beauvais signed off the livestream saying she would be back next week and added: "And until then, f*** the police."
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Beauvais was arrested and is due to be arraigned on counts of vehicular manslaughter and reckless endangerment, leaving an accident resulting in death, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle as well as driving while intoxicated, the New York Post reported.
She was allegedly behind the wheel of a car that struck and killed New York Police Department (NYPD) officer Anastasios Tsakos, 43, who had attended an earlier accident on the Long Island Expressway.
The father of two children was allegedly hit head-on by Beauvais' 2013 Volkswagen and later died of his injuries.
Police said Beauvais was driving with a suspended license and that she had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15, which is almost twice the New York state limit of 0.08, according to the New York Post.
When Beauvais was being led out from the 107th Precinct in Queens for her arraignment later that day ABC said she told reporters present: "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I hit him and that he's dead."
In a post uploaded onto the NYPD's Facebook page on Tuesday, a spokesperson said: "Killed by an intoxicated driver early this morning, NYPD Highway Police Officer Anastasios Tsakos loved his wife, two young children and the city he was dedicated to protecting for the past 14 years.
"As the NYPD and NYC mourn this tragic loss, we make a solemn vow to never forget Anastasios."
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio praised Tsakos' service during a press briefing the same day and added: "We see here a horrendous pattern. People doing the wrong thing and other people dead because of it and one of them, a hero officer who did everything right in his life for us.
"And he is dead because of other people's negligence. The police commissioner and I just spent time with his widow.
He continued: "And the pain she is going through, there are no words for. But all New Yorkers need to realize a few hours ago she was looking forward to seeing her husband again and now she won't.
"He leaves behind a 6-year-old a 3-year-old son, they will never see their father again."
